Bluff Point Association Committees

The BPA board has created several committees to help further the organization's goals. Volunteers to serve on these committees are always welcome! If a committee is dealing with an issue that is near and dear to your heart, please join.


The Communication Committee, in consultation with the BPA Board, creates the newsletter and oversees the website. It plays an active role in planning the annual meeting.

The Conservation Committee coordinates BPA conservation efforts. It plays the lead role in furthering the BPA conservation partnership with Finger Lakes Land Trust. The partnership includes education and fund raising, as well as help to those considering Land Trust easements..

Farm & Open Space

The farms and open spaces of Bluff Point are essential to its beauty. The Farm and Open Space committee is addressing all issues that affect these two wonderful assets, and particularly encourages education and planning.

PY Central Schools

The PY Central Schools Committee monitors spending and programs in the Penn Yan Central School District with an eye to encouraging quality education and efficiency.

Town of Jerusalem - Town Board

The decisions of the Town of Jerusalem Town Board can have a major impact on Bluff Point and its residents. Members of this committee endeavor to monitor the debates and decisions of the Board and to keep BPA members informed on matters of interest.

Yates County Legislature

The decisions of the Yates County legislature can have significant consequences for Bluff Point and affect the tax burden everyone must bear. This committee monitors the legislature and communicates information about its decisions through the BPA website and newsletter.
